Belgian Biscuit® malt is a unique lightly toasted malt that contributes a slew of warm, earthy, toasted malt flavors and aromas. Toasted malt will provide a warm bread or biscuit flavor and aroma and will lend a garnet-brown color. It can be used in small percentages to add complexity and color to lighter beers, or in larger amounts in dark beers such as nut brown ales to deliver the characteristic nutty, toasted biscuit flavors. Use 5 - 15% maximum. No enzymes. Must be mashed with malts having surplus diastatic power. Use in all special beers, Belgian Abbey beers, Ales, bockbeers. Lovibond 18-27.
