Very balanced, sometimes called a super Cascade without the grapefruit flavors of Cascade. Popular among craft brewers; bred in 1974 and released in 1990. Derived from the Brewers Gold, Fuggle, and East Kent Golding. Medium intensity floral and citrus (lemon) tones. Centennial blends well with Chinook and Columbus hops. Typical Alpha Acid: 9.5% - 11.5%. Typical Beer Styles: American-style Ale, IPA and wheat beer. Packaged in nitrogen flushed, oxygen barrier mylar-foil bag.
