    Can the gold lids be used for canning? Can you boil them before placing them on the jars or put them on the jars then water bath them?

    Yes, these lids can be used for canning. We recommend boiling them before use, both to be sure they are sterile and to soften the lining for a better seal. It won't hurt to boil again after the jars are sealed if that is required for the recipe.
