Will these work as well as corked homemade bottled wine. Can you still store the wine bottle on their side and for a year +?
Thank youJun 30, 2026, 02:23:44 PMUnlike cork-finished bottles, screw-cap bottles do not need to be stored on their side to keep a closure moist. They can be stored either upright or on their side.
Storing on the side for a year should not harm the capsule, provided the storage conditions are appropriate:
Keep the temperature relatively stable (ideally around 10–15°C / 50–59°F).
Avoid prolonged exposure to high heat and direct sunlight.
Prevent excessive moisture if the bottles are packed in cartons. -
